According to data from Vietnam Electricity Group, at 1:30 PM on March 30, in the Northwest region, the water flow to large lakes increased significantly.
Hoa Binh Lake has an upstream water level of 115.99m, about 1.01m lower than the normal water level (117m). The water flow to the lake reaches 1,410 m3/s - the highest among current lakes. The total discharge flow of 443 m3/s is carried out entirely through power generation, without overflowing.
Son La Lake recorded a water level of 214m, 1m lower than the normal water level. Water flow to the lake reached 852 m3/s, total discharge through power generation 456 m3/s.
At Lai Chau reservoir, the water level reached 291.83m, lower than the normal water level by more than 3m; inflow to the reservoir 129 m3/s, total discharge 744 m3/s.
Some lakes in the Da River system are approaching the normal water level.
Huo Huoi Quang Lake reached 369.99m/370m, water inflow to the lake 284 m3/s, total discharge 131 m3/s.
Ban Chat Lake is at 431.57m, only about 0.57m higher than the dead water level; the flow to the lake is low, at 21 m3/s, total discharge 244 m3/s through power generation.
In the Northeast region, Tuyen Quang reservoir has a water level of 115.19m, nearly 5m lower than the normal water level; inflow to the reservoir 125 m3/s, total discharge 120.71 m3/s.
Thac Ba Lake recorded a water level of 53.61m, lower than the normal water level by more than 4m and has not yet discharged water.
The North Central region continues to be in a state of water retention. Trung Son Lake has a water level of 156.13m, Ban Ve Lake 191.87m, both have not been discharged. Khe Bo Lake alone discharges 95.5 m3/s of electricity when the inflow reaches nearly 72 m3/s.
In the Central region, some reservoirs are starting to generate electricity with low flow rates. A Vuong reservoir discharges 28 m3/s; Song Bung 4 discharges 53 m3/s; Song Hinh discharges 19.03 m3/s, equivalent to the water flow to the reservoir.
The Central Highlands and Southeast regions mainly continue to store water to prepare for the dry season. Some reservoirs discharge electricity but with small flow rates such as Se San 4 (185 m3/s), Buon Kuop (15.67 m3/s), An Khe (8 m3/s).
Tri An Lake reached a water level of 60.34m, nearly 2m lower than the normal water level and has not been discharged.
According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, the weather forecast for March 30, the Northern region will have fog and light fog scattered in the early morning, sunny days, hot sun in some places; especially the Northwest region will be hot, intense hot sun in some places. The highest temperature is commonly 32 - 34 degrees C, especially the Northwest region 34 - 36 degrees C, in some places above 36 degrees C.
The Southern region in the late afternoon and night has showers and thunderstorms in some places; sunny days, hot sun in some places, especially the East has hot sun.
