According to data from Vietnam Electricity Group, at 5:00 PM on June 25, in the Northern region, large hydropower reservoirs on the Da River recorded quite abundant water inflow. Hoa Binh Lake has a water inflow rate of 2,492m3/s, the highest in the country, followed by Son La Lake at 2,271m3/s.
Power plants are generating strongly with a total discharge flow through the plants of 2,970m3/s and 2,407m3/s respectively. However, the upstream water level in Hoa Binh only reached 99.99m, 17m lower than the normal water level; Son La reservoir reached 196.71m, over 18m lower.
In the North Central region, Khe Bo reservoir has a water inflow rate of 454.9m3/s, the highest in the region. Ban Ve reservoir discharges through the plant 322m3/s, while Trung Son maintains a total discharge rate of 85m3/s. All reservoirs do not operate surface discharge gates.
In the South Central Coast and the Central Highlands, most reservoirs operate stably, without overflowing. Some reservoirs with large discharge flows include Se San 4 reaching 230m3/s, Srepok 3 reaching 178m3/s, Ialy reaching 148m3/s, Song Ba Ha reaching 120m3/s. Buon Kuop Lake is opening 1 deep discharge gate, discharging through the dam 15.74m3/s.
In the Southeast region, Tri An Lake recorded a water inflow to the lake of 390m3/s, with a total discharge through the plant of 662m3/s. The current lake water level is 52.87m, about 9m lower than the normal water level.
According to the forecast of the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, on June 25, the midland and delta regions of the Northern region will have hot and intense heat with the highest temperature commonly 36-38 degrees Celsius, with some places above 38 degrees Celsius.
The Northern mountainous region has localized heat above 35 degrees Celsius.
The area from Thanh Hoa to Da Nang and the east of Quang Ngai province to Dak Lak has intense heat, especially intense in some places with the highest temperature commonly 37-39 degrees C, in some places above 40 degrees C.
