According to data from Vietnam Electricity Group, at 5:00 PM on June 25, Hoa Binh reservoir recorded water inflow to the reservoir reaching 2,492m3/s, the highest among major hydropower reservoirs today. Total discharge through the plant reached 2,970m3/s, the upstream water level was at 99.99m, 17.01m lower than the normal water level.
At Son La reservoir, the water inflow to the reservoir reached 2.271m3/s, the total discharge through the plant was 2.407m3/s. The reservoir water level is at an elevation of 196.71m, 18.29m lower than the normal water level.
Lai Chau, Ban Chat and Huoi Quang reservoirs are operating stably with discharge flows of 1,309m3/s, 250m3/s and 263m3/s respectively. The water level of Huoi Quang reservoir reached 368.92m, only more than 1m away from the normal water level.
Meanwhile, Tuyen Quang reservoir has a water level of 98.43m, water inflow to the reservoir 239m3/s, total discharge volume 729.37m3/s. Thac Ba reservoir reached an elevation of 48.56m, water inflow to the reservoir 62m3/s and has not yet discharged water.
According to the forecast of the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, on June 25, the midland and delta regions of the Northern region will have hot and intense heat with the highest temperature commonly 36-38 degrees Celsius, with some places above 38 degrees Celsius.
The Northern mountainous region has localized heat above 35 degrees Celsius.
The area from Thanh Hoa to Da Nang and the east of Quang Ngai province to Dak Lak has intense heat, especially intense in some places with the highest temperature commonly 37-39 degrees C, in some places above 40 degrees C.
