According to data from Vietnam Electricity Group, at 3:15 PM on February 17, Tuyen Quang Lake (Tuyen Quang province), at 1:00 PM on February 17, the upstream water level was at an elevation of 114.18 m, 120 m lower than the normal water level. The inflow to the lake reached 99 m3/s, the lake has not yet discharged.
In the Northwest area, Lai Chau Lake recorded a water level of 293.71 m, 295 m lower than the normal water level; inflow to the lake 109 m3/s, not yet discharged.
Ban Chat Lake reached 458.02 m (normal water level 475 m), flow rate 14 m3/s.
Huo Huoi Quang Lake is at 368.87 m, approaching the normal water level of 370 m, with a flow rate of 39 m3/s, not yet discharged.
Meanwhile, Son La reservoir has a water level of 214.5 m, close to the normal water level of 215 m. Inflow to the reservoir is 115 m3/s, total discharge is 75 m3/s through power generation.
Hoa Binh Lake is at an altitude of 112.63 m, lower than the normal water level by 117 m; water inflow is 134 m3/s, total discharge is 457 m3/s through power generation.

The Southern region in the late afternoon and night has showers and thunderstorms in some places; sunny during the day, hot sun in some places in the East.
