Water levels of hydropower reservoirs nationwide on August 21st

Most hydropower reservoirs are lower than the normal water level, some reservoirs are discharging with large flows.

According to updated data at 3:15 PM on August 21, in the North, Hoa Binh reservoir has an upstream water level of 103.03 m, while the normal water level is 117 m. The water flow to the reservoir reached 2,929 m3/s, total discharge volume 4,437 m3/s, of which 1,530 m3/s through the spillway and 2,907 m3/s through the plant. The reservoir is opening 1 deep discharge gate.

Son La Lake has a water level of 196.91 m, lower than the normal water level by 215 m. Inflow to the lake is 2,197 m3/s, total discharge is 2,475 m3/s.

Lai Chau Lake has a water level of 293.42 m, 295 m lower than the normal water level. Inflow to the lake is 1,298 m3/s, total discharge is 1,503 m3/s.

Tuyen Quang Lake is at 102.37 m, 120 m lower than the normal water level. Water flow to the lake is 624 m3/s, total discharge is 766.84 m3/s.

In the North Central region, Khe Bo reservoir has a water level of 65 m, equal to the normal water level. The flow to the reservoir and the total discharge volume are at 768.4 m3/s. In which, the water through the spillway is 280.7 m3/s, through the plant is 487.7 m3/s; the reservoir is opening 2 surface discharge gates.

Ban Ve Lake has a water level of 189.48 m, 200 m lower than the normal water level. Water flow to the lake is 470 m3/s, total discharge is 268 m3/s.

In the South Central Coast, A Vuong reservoir has a water level of 347.09 m, lower than the normal water level of 380 m. The inflow and total discharge volume are both at 28 m3/s.

Song Tranh 2 Lake has a water level of 146.42 m, lower than the normal water level of 175 m. Inflow to the lake 9.02 m3/s, total discharge volume 34.67 m3/s.

In the Central Highlands, Ialy Lake has a water level of 503.66 m, 515 m lower than the normal water level. Water flow to the lake is 444 m3/s, total discharge is 83 m3/s.

Pleikrông Lake has a water level of 555.8 m, 570 m lower than the normal water level. Inflow to the lake is 571 m3/s, total discharge is 148 m3/s.

Se San 4 reservoir has a water level of 214.24 m, close to the normal water level of 215 m. Inflow to the reservoir is 381 m3/s, total discharge is 675 m3/s.

In the Southeast, Tri An reservoir has a water level of 54.82 m, 62 m lower than the normal water level. Inflow to the reservoir reached 940 m3/s, total discharge volume 387 m3/s.
