Large hydropower reservoirs across the country are still lower than the normal water level, most are operating stably, without overflowing.

According to data from Vietnam Electricity Group, at 12:00 on May 30, in the Northwest region, Hoa Binh Lake had an upstream water level of 103.36m, 13.64m lower than the normal water level of 117m.

Son La Lake is at 194.73m, 20.27m lower than the design elevation. Lai Chau Lake reaches 286.94m, about 8m lower than the normal water level.

In the Northeast region, Tuyen Quang Lake recorded a water level of 102.88m, 17.12m lower than the normal water level. Thac Ba Lake reached 50.2m, nearly 8m lower than the design elevation.

In the North Central region, Ban Ve Lake has a water level of 178m, 22m lower than the normal water level. Trung Son Lake reaches 153.74m, 6m lower, while Khe Bo Lake is only about 0.6m lower than the design threshold.

The South Central Coast and Central Highlands regions recorded some lakes with water levels approaching normal water levels such as Se San 3, Se San 3A, Dong Nai 4 and Song Ba Ha.

According to the forecast of the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, on May 30, the Northern region tonight will have scattered showers and thunderstorms, with locally heavy rain. In thunderstorms, there is a possibility of tornadoes, lightning, hail and strong gusts of wind. Tomorrow the sun will be intermittent with the highest temperature commonly 30 - 33 degrees C.

The Southern region in the late afternoon and evening has scattered showers and thunderstorms, with locally heavy rain.
