Many hydropower reservoirs in the Central - Central Highlands region are maintaining water levels lower than normal water levels.

According to data from Vietnam Electricity Group, at 11:00 AM on May 29, in the North Central region, Ban Ve hydropower reservoir had an upstream water level of 178.73m, 21m lower than the normal water level of 200m. Total discharge through the plant was at 331m3/s.

Khe Bo Lake recorded a water level of 64.69m, approaching the normal water level of 65m, with water flow to the lake reaching 258.6m3/s and total discharge volume of 330.1m3/s.

Meanwhile, Trung Son reservoir has a water level of 153.36m, the water flow to the reservoir reaches 112m3/s and the total discharge through the plant is at 83m3/s.

In the South Central Coast, A Vuong reservoir reached a water level of 363.61m, 16m lower than the normal water level. Song Bung 4 reservoir discharged 155m3/s; Song Tranh 2 reservoir discharged 107m3/s; Song Ba Ha reservoir discharged 120m3/s through the plant.

Vinh Son A, Vinh Son B and Vinh Son C reservoirs recorded very low water flow to the reservoir, fluctuating from 0.29-0.75m3/s. Both Vinh Son B and Vinh Son C reservoirs have not yet generated discharge flow.

In the Central Highlands, Se San 4 reservoir has the largest total discharge volume in the area with 440m3/s, although the water inflow to the reservoir only reached 13m3/s. Pleiku reservoir discharged 173m3/s; Dong Nai 3 reservoir discharged 191m3/s; Dong Nai 4 reservoir discharged 202.82m3/s.

Some reservoirs are operating overflow discharge. An Khe reservoir discharges 8m3/s through 1 surface discharge gate; Srepok 3 reservoir discharges 0.8m3/s through 2 deep discharge gates; Buon Kuop reservoir discharges 15.35m3/s through 1 deep discharge gate.

In addition, Da Mi Lake has a water level of 324.68m, approaching the normal water level of 325m, with a total discharge volume of 124m3/s. Ham Thuan Lake recorded a water flow to the lake of 150.81m3/s, with a total discharge through the plant at 130.79m3/s.

According to the forecast of the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, on May 29, the Northern and North Central regions will have scattered showers and thunderstorms, with locally heavy rain. Rain will concentrate in the late afternoon and night.

The area from Quang Tri to Da Nang city, the eastern provinces from Quang Ngai to Dak Lak have hot sun with the highest temperature commonly 35 - 36 degrees C, in some places above 36 degrees C.

The Southern region has showers and scattered thunderstorms, locally heavy rain; from tomorrow evening, there will be rain, moderate rain and scattered thunderstorms, locally heavy rain.
