Water levels of rivers in the Red River basin on August 5th

On the Red River basin rivers, the water level of the Thao River and downstream of the Lo River is forecast to rise.

Short-term Hydrometeorological Forecast and Warning bulletin issued at 10:30 AM on August 5th by the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting said:

With the Thao River, the water level at Yen Bai station and Phu Tho station is rising and will continue to rise.

Monitoring data at Yen Bai station at 7:00 AM on August 5th was at 28.16m, at the same time at Phu Tho station at 13.79m.

With the Lo River, the water level at Tuyen Quang station and Vu Quang station (Phu Tho) is rising due to the impact of rain in the basin. Tuyen Quang hydropower reservoir still maintains opening 1 bottom discharge gate.

Monitoring data at Tuyen Quang station at 7:00 AM on August 5th was at 18.10m, at the same time at Vu Quang station at 10.66m.

It is forecasted that the water level downstream of the Lo River at Tuyen Quang station will change slowly and at Vu Quang station will change in an upward trend.

With the Da River, the flow to Hoa Binh reservoir is and will continue to fluctuate according to the above-level hydropower regulation.

At 7:00 AM on August 5th, the water level of Hoa Binh Lake was at 38.61m.

With the Red River, the water level downstream of the Red River at Hanoi station is decreasing.

At 7:00 AM on August 5th, the water level at Hanoi station was at 3.99m.

It is forecasted that the water level downstream of the Red River at Hanoi station will change slowly and be affected by the above-line hydropower plant (Tuyen Quang reservoir still maintains opening 1 bottom discharge gate).
