According to data from Vietnam Electricity Group, at 1:30 PM on February 26, Tuyen Quang Hydropower reservoir reached an elevation of 114.67m, 120m lower than the normal water level. Inflow to the reservoir 123m3/s, total discharge flow 308.08m3/s, all through the plant.
In the Northwest area, Lai Chau Hydropower reservoir is at 294.59m, approaching the normal water level of 295m. Water flow to the reservoir is 109m3/s, the plant almost does not discharge electricity at the time of update.
Ban Chat Hydropower Lake has a water level of 453.46m (475m lower than the normal water level), inflow to the lake 17m3/s, total discharge volume 269m3/s through the power generating unit.
Meanwhile, the Huoi Quang Hydropower reservoir reached 369.32m, close to the normal water level of 370m. The water flow to the reservoir is 292m3/s, the total discharge is 264m3/s through the plant.
Notably, two large reservoirs on the Da River system, Son La Hydropower and Hoa Binh Hydropower, are operating to generate electricity with high discharge flow.
At that time, Son La reservoir was at 214.59m, slightly lower than the normal water level of 215m. The water flow to the reservoir was 378m3/s, and the total discharge was 459m3/s through the plant.
Hoa Binh Lake reached 112.83m, 117m lower than the normal water level. The water flow to the lake is very large, up to 1,695m3/s, while the total discharge is 313m3/s through power generation.
According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, the weather forecast for February 26th, the Northern region tonight and tomorrow morning will have showers and scattered thunderstorms, locally heavy rain, from the afternoon the rain will gradually decrease.
