The water level at hydropower reservoirs across the country is basically at a safe level, many large reservoirs in the Northwest region are approaching the normal water level.

According to data from Vietnam Electricity Group, at 11:30 am on February 25, in the Northeast region, Tuyen Quang Hydropower Reservoir recorded an upstream water level of 114.71m, about 5.3m lower than the normal water level. The water flow to the reservoir reached 84m3/s, the total discharge flow was 174.18m3/s through the plant.

In the Northwest region, large reservoirs on the Da River system maintain high water levels. Lai Chau Hydropower Lake reached 294.55m, only 0.45m lower than the normal water level.

Son La Hydropower Lake reached 214.55m/215m, while Hoa Binh Hydropower Lake was at 112.94m, lower than the normal water level by more than 4m.

Ban Chat and Huoi Quang reservoirs are also at high levels, mainly discharging water through power generation turbines, not overflowing.

In the North Central region, the water level of Trung Son, Ban Ve, and Khe Bo reservoirs fluctuates below the normal water level from 0.5–5m. The discharge flow through the plant is commonly from a few dozen to over 150m3/s.

The South Central Coast region recorded many reservoirs at quite high levels such as A Vuong, Song Tranh 2, Song Ba Ha; while some reservoirs have low flow rates, so they have not generated electricity or discharged very little.

In the Central Highlands, Thuong Kon Tum Lake reached 1,159.26m, approaching the normal water level of 1,160m.

The Se San and Srepok cascade reservoirs operate stably, the discharge flow through the plant is from 20–247m3/s. Some reservoirs have deep discharge gates with a quantity of 1–2 gates.

In the Southeast region, Tri An reservoir reached 61.54m, about 0.46m lower than the normal water level, and has not yet discharged water.

According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, the weather forecast for February 25th, the Northern region tonight has rain, scattered light rain; tomorrow there will be showers and scattered thunderstorms, locally heavy rain. Cold at night and in the morning. In thunderstorms, there is a possibility of tornadoes, lightning, hail and strong gusts of wind.

The Southern region in the late afternoon and night has showers and thunderstorms in some places, sunny during the day.
