According to data from Vietnam Electricity Group, at 10:00 AM on March 7, in the Northeast region, Tuyen Quang Lake recorded an upstream water level of 114.34m, lower than the normal water level by 120m.
The water flow to the reservoir is about 87 m3/s, while the total discharge is 324.42 m3/s, all through the hydropower plant.
In the Northwest region, large reservoirs on the Da River system maintain water levels near normal levels. Lai Chau Lake reached 294.58m, approaching normal water levels 295m; water inflow to the reservoir 520 m3/s, total discharge 828 m3/s through the plant.
Son La Lake is at 214.83m, close to the normal water level of 215m, water flow to the lake is 738 m3/s and total discharge is 995 m3/s for power generation.
Meanwhile, Hoa Binh reservoir has a water level of 113.51m, which is 117m lower than the normal water level. The water flow to the reservoir is about 40 m3/s, the total discharge is 511 m3/s, mainly for power generation.
Some other terraced reservoirs on the Da River system such as Huoi Quang reached 369.75m, close to the normal water level of 370m, total discharge volume 293 m3/s; Ban Chat reservoir at 448.24m, total discharge volume 253 m3/s.
According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, the weather forecast for March 7th, the Northern region has light rain in some places, early morning fog and light fog scattered; sunny skies in the afternoon. Cold at night and early morning.
The Southern region in the late afternoon and night has showers and thunderstorms in some places; sunny during the day.
