According to data from Vietnam Electricity Group, at 12:00 on March 6, in the Northwest region, large hydropower reservoirs on the Da River maintained high water levels.
Lai Chau Lake reached 294.94m, close to the normal water level of 295m; water flow to the lake was 543 m3/s and total discharge was 131 m3/s through the plant.
Son La Lake is at 214.75m, only 0.25m lower than the normal water level, with a total discharge flow of 925 m3/s.
Hoa Binh Lake reached 113.42m, about 3.6m lower than the normal water level of 117m; water flow to the lake 936 m3/s and total discharge 374 m3/s through the plant.
Ban Chat and Huoi Quang reservoirs also maintain high water levels, at 448.79m and 369.31m respectively. Both reservoirs do not discharge overflows, and the water is regulated through power plants.
In the Northeast region, Tuyen Quang Lake has a water level of 114.42m, about 5.6m lower than the normal water level of 120m. The water flow to the lake reaches 85 m3/s, the total discharge through the plant is 325.69 m3/s.
In the North Central region, Trung Son reservoir reached a water level of 158.36m, close to the normal water level of 160m; inflow and discharge volume were both at 78 m3/s.
Ban Ve Lake recorded a water level of 194.18m but has not generated electricity at the time of update. Khe Bo Lake and Quang Tri Lake also operated electricity generation with discharge flows of 95.5 m3/s and 18 m3/s respectively.
In the South Central Coast, many lakes have low water flow. A Vuong Lake is at 374.34m; Song Bung 2 Lake reaches 601.04m. Song Tranh 2 Lake recorded a water level of 173.46m with a water flow of 97.07 m3/s and discharge through the plant of 34.67 m3/s.
In the Central Highlands, IaLy reservoir has a water level of 508.62m, a water inflow rate of 229 m3/s and a total discharge rate of 124 m3/s. Some reservoirs such as Se San 3, Se San 4, Dong Nai 4 or Dai Ninh have not recorded discharge flow at the time of update.
In the Southeast region, Tri An reservoir has a water level of 61.6m, close to the normal water level of 62m. The water flow to the reservoir reaches 270 m3/s and has not been discharged.
According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, the weather forecast for March 6th, the Northern region has light rain in some places, early morning fog and light fog scattered. Cold at night and early morning.
The Southern region in the evening and tonight will have scattered showers and thunderstorms in some places, locally heavy rain; showers and thunderstorms in some places during the day.
