Water level of some hydropower reservoirs in the North on September 18

The water level of hydropower reservoirs in the North on September 18th was lower than the normal water level, while Lai Chau, Son La and Hoa Binh reservoirs are having large water inflows.

According to system data updated at 2:15 PM on September 18, in the Northeast region, Tuyen Quang reservoir has an upstream water level of 116.94m, lower than the normal water level of 120m. Water inflow to the reservoir is 217 m3/s, total discharge is 0 m3/s.

In the Northwest region, Lai Chau reservoir has a water level of 291.54m, 295m lower than the normal water level. Inflow to the reservoir reached 1,061 m3/s, total discharge volume 1,574 m3/s, all through the spillway dam.

Ban Chat Lake has a water level of 471.72m, 475m lower than the normal water level. Inflow to the lake is 27 m3/s, total discharge is 0 m3/s.

Huo Huoi Quang Lake has a water level of 369.04m, lower than the normal water level of 370m. Inflow to the lake is 51 m3/s and no discharge volume is recorded.

Son La Lake has a water level of 212.12m, which is 215m lower than the normal water level. The water flow to the lake is at 1,822 m3/s, the total discharge is 863 m3/s through the spillway.

At Hoa Binh reservoir, the upstream water level is 113.35m, lower than the normal water level by 117m. The water flow to the reservoir reached 1,673 m3/s, total discharge volume 557 m3/s, all through the spillway dam.

Thac Ba Lake has a water level of 55.41m, 58m lower than the normal water level. Inflow to the lake is 263 m3/s, total discharge is 288.07 m3/s through the spillway.
