Water levels of hydropower reservoirs nationwide on September 17

Many hydropower reservoirs across the country are lower than the normal water level, some reservoirs have large discharge flows such as Hoa Binh and Lai Chau.

According to system data updated at 4:15 PM on September 17th, in the North, Tuyen Quang reservoir has an upstream water level of 116.79 m, 120 m lower than the normal water level; inflow to the reservoir 90 m3/s, total discharge volume 239 m3/s.

Lai Chau Lake has a water level of 291.73 m, 295 m lower than the normal water level; inflow to the lake 301 m3/s, total discharge volume 1,531 m3/s. Son La Lake has a water level of 211.82 m, 215 m lower than the normal water level; inflow to the lake 175 m3/s, total discharge volume 865 m3/s.

Hoa Binh Lake has an upstream water level of 112.6 m, 117 m lower than the normal water level. Inflow to the lake 80 m3/s, total discharge volume 1,633 m3/s. Thac Ba Lake has a water level of 55.35 m, 58 m lower than the normal water level; inflow to the lake 46 m3/s, total discharge volume 410 m3/s.

In the North Central region, Trung Son Lake has a water level of 155.86 m, 160 m lower than the normal water level; inflow to the lake 150 m3/s, total discharge 773 m3/s. Ban Ve Lake has a water level of 195.35 m, 200 m lower than the normal water level; inflow to the lake 442 m3/s, total discharge 314 m3/s.

Khe Bo Lake has a water level of 65 m, equal to the normal water level; inflow to the lake 920.5 m3/s, total discharge 920.5 m3/s. Quang Tri Lake has a water level of 477.1 m, lower than the normal water level by 480 m; inflow to the lake 51 m3/s, total discharge 73 m3/s.

In the South Central Coast, A Vuong reservoir has a water level of 353.7 m, lower than the normal water level by 380 m; inflow to the reservoir 59.92 m3/s, total discharge 75.88 m3/s. Song Bung 4 reservoir has a water level of 207.51 m, lower than the normal water level by 222.5 m; inflow to the reservoir 12 m3/s, total discharge 140 m3/s.

Song Tranh 2 Lake has a water level of 145.59 m, lower than the normal water level by 175 m; inflow to the reservoir is 67.93 m3/s, total discharge is 188 m3/s. Song Ba Ha Lake has a water level of 102.47 m, lower than the normal water level by 105 m; inflow to the reservoir is 750 m3/s, total discharge is 478 m3/s.

In the Central Highlands, Ialy reservoir has a water level of 511.66 m, lower than the normal water level of 515 m; inflow to the reservoir is 462 m3/s, total discharge is 596 m3/s.

Se San 3 reservoir has a water level of 304.37 m, 304.5 m lower than the normal water level; inflow to the reservoir 635 m3/s, total discharge 647 m3/s. Se San 3A reservoir has a water level of 239 m, equal to the normal water level; inflow to the reservoir 656 m3/s, total discharge 656 m3/s. Se San 4 reservoir has a water level of 214.49 m, 215 m lower than the normal water level; inflow to the reservoir 899 m3/s, total discharge 899 m3/s.

In the Southeast region, Tri An Lake has a water level of 59.44 m, 62 m lower than the normal water level. Inflow to the lake 1,250 m3/s, total discharge 779 m3/s. Thac Mo Lake has a water level of 213.7 m, 218 m lower than the normal water level; inflow to the lake 360.69 m3/s, total discharge 170 m3/s.
