According to data from Vietnam Electricity Group, at 11:30 am on March 21, in the Northeast region, Tuyen Quang reservoir reached 114.83m, lower than the normal water level by 5.17m, and has not been discharged even though the water flow to the reservoir reached 99 m3/s.
In the Northwest region, large reservoirs on the Da River system maintain high power generation.
Son La Lake reached 214.07m, close to the normal water level, discharging up to 1.175 m3/s. Hoa Binh Lake is at 115.66m, discharging 311 m3/s.
Huoi Quang and Ban Chat lakes discharged 340 m3/s and 242 m3/s respectively.
Meanwhile, Lai Chau reservoir reached 293.83m, not discharging even though the inflow to the reservoir was at 106 m3/s.
Thac Ba Lake is at 54.45m, discharging more than 303 m3/s for power generation.
According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, the weather forecast for March 21st, the Northern region has light rain in some places, early morning fog and light fog scattered; especially mountainous and midland areas have rain, scattered showers and thunderstorms in some places. In thunderstorms, there is a possibility of tornadoes, lightning and strong gusts of wind.
The Southern region in the late afternoon and night has showers and thunderstorms in some places, sunny during the day.
