According to data from Vietnam Electricity Group, at 1:00 PM on March 26, in the Northeast region, Tuyen Quang Lake reached an altitude of 115.05m, lower than the normal water level by 4.95m.
The water flow to the reservoir reached 126 m3/s, the total discharge through the plant was 120.65 m3/s.
On the Da River system, many large lakes are still lacking water compared to the designed elevation.
Lai Chau Lake reached 293.01m, 1.99m lower and has not discharged water. Ban Chat Lake is at 435.33m, up to 39.67m lower, total discharge 237 m3/s.
Huoi Quang Lake reached 368.21m, 1.79m lower, discharging 324 m³/s. Son La Lake reached 214.05m, 0.95m lower, total discharge 428 m³/s.
Notably, Hoa Binh Hydropower reservoir reached an elevation of 115.94m, 1.06m lower than the normal water level. Water flow to the reservoir is at a high level of 897 m3/s, total discharge through power generation is 551 m3/s.
Meanwhile, Thac Ba reservoir reached 53.92m, 4.08m lower than the normal water level, total discharge 147.92 m3/s.
According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, the weather forecast for March 26th, the Northern region will be less cloudy and sunny in the afternoon. The highest temperature is commonly 27 - 30 degrees Celsius, especially the Northwest region 31 - 34 degrees Celsius, with some places above 35 degrees Celsius.
The Southern region is sunny during the day, especially the East has places with hot sun above 35 degrees Celsius.
