According to data from Vietnam Electricity Group, at 10:00 AM on March 25, in the Northeast region, Tuyen Quang Lake reached 115.02m, about 5m lower than the normal water level.
The water flow to the reservoir reached 126 m3/s, the total discharge volume was 120.61 m3/s, mainly through turbines for power generation.
In the Northwest region, reservoirs on the Da River system continue to maintain high water levels.
Lai Chau Lake reached 293.47m, only about 1.5m lower than the normal water level of 295m, inflow to the lake reached 195 m3/s, total discharge amount up to 706 m3/s.
Son La Lake reached 214.05m, nearly reaching the normal water level of 215m, while the water inflow to the lake reached 372 m3/s.
Notably, Hoa Binh reservoir is at 115.8m, about 1.2m lower than the normal water level of 117m. Inflow to the reservoir reached 476 m3/s, total discharge volume 469 m3/s.
Ban Chat and Huoi Quang reservoirs also maintain high water levels, approaching the normal level.
All reservoirs in this area currently do not discharge overflows, the discharged water mainly flows through the plant to generate electricity.
In the North Central region, Trung Son Lake reached 157.44m, close to the normal water level, discharging 186 m3/s. Meanwhile, Ban Ve Lake did not discharge water, the water level reached 192.61m.
Khe Bo and Quang Tri reservoirs have low water inflow, operating at a moderate level.
In the South Central Coast, the water flow to reservoirs continues to be low. Song Tranh 2 reservoir reached 174.47m, discharging 99 m3/s; Song Ba Ha reservoir reached 104.29m, discharging 120 m3/s.
Some lakes such as A Vuong and Song Bung 2 almost do not discharge water.
The Central Highlands region recorded clear differentiation. Ialy Lake has a water inflow of 245 m3/s, discharging 300 m3/s; Se San 3 and Se San 4 reservoirs maintain discharge equivalent to or higher than the inflow.
Some reservoirs such as Srepok 3 and Buon Kuop operate flexibly, both discharging through spillways and generating electricity.
In the Southeast region, Tri An reservoir recorded a flow rate of 70 m3/s but discharged up to 746 m3/s, showing that the demand for power generation and water regulation for downstream is at a high level.
According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, the weather forecast for March 24th, the Northern region has light rain in some places, early morning fog and light fog scattered, sunny skies in the afternoon. Especially the Northwest region has hot sun in some places with the highest temperature above 34 degrees C.
The Southern region in the late afternoon and night has showers and thunderstorms in some places; sunny during the day, especially the East has hot sunny places.
