According to data from Vietnam Electricity Group, at 2:00 PM on May 27, Hoa Binh Lake had a water inflow rate of 2,385m3/s, with a total discharge through the plant of 2,889m3/s. The upstream water level of the lake is at an elevation of 104.36m, 12.64m lower than the normal water level.
Son La Lake recorded a sharp increase in water flow to the lake to 1,546m3/s, while the total discharge amount reached 3,213m3/s. The upstream water level of the lake reached 195.85m, nearly 19.2m lower than the normal water level.
At Lai Chau Lake, the water inflow to the lake reached 160m3/s, the total discharge volume was 1,596m3/s. Huoi Quang Lake has a water inflow to the lake reaching 264m3/s and a total discharge volume of 337m3/s.
Meanwhile, Ban Chat reservoir recorded low water flow to the reservoir, only 15m3/s, total discharge reached 159m3/s.
In the Northeast region, Tuyen Quang reservoir has a water inflow rate of 149m3/s, with a total discharge rate of 752.2m3/s. The upstream water level of the reservoir reaches 105.17m, nearly 15m lower than the normal water level.
Thac Ba Lake maintains the upstream water level at 50.48m with a total discharge through the plant reaching 435.91m3/s.
According to the forecast of the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, on May 27, the Northern Delta region, Phu Tho and from Thanh Hoa to Hue city will have intense and especially intense heat with the highest temperature commonly 38-40 degrees C, with some places above 40 degrees C.
Other places in the North and the South Central Coast have hot and intense heat, especially intense in some places with the highest temperature commonly 36-38 degrees Celsius, in some places above 39 degrees Celsius.
