According to data from Vietnam Electricity Group, at 3:00 PM on July 4th, in the Northeast region, Tuyen Quang Lake had an upstream water level of 109.18m, 10.82m lower than the normal water level.
The water flow to the reservoir reached 1,060m3/s, the total discharge volume was 1,223.37m3/s, of which 529m3/s was discharged through the spillway and 1 deep discharge gate is open.
In the Northwest region, Hoa Binh Lake has an upstream water level of 102.25m, 14.75m lower than the normal water level.
The water flow to the reservoir reached 3,485m3/s, the highest in the area, while the total discharge volume reached 2,978m3/s, all through the plant, not discharged through the spillway dam.
Son La Lake has a water level of 194.35m, 20.65m lower than the normal water level. Water flow to the lake reached 2,446m3/s, total discharge volume 3,279m3/s.
Lai Chau Lake recorded a water level of 286.81m, lower than the normal water level by 8.19m; water inflow to the lake is 1,111m3/s, total discharge is 1,649m3/s.
Huoi Quang, Ban Chat and Thac Ba reservoirs continue to operate normally. Among them, Huoi Quang reservoir has a water level of 368.14m, only 0.14m higher than the dead water level; Ban Chat reservoir reaches 453.93m and Thac Ba reservoir reaches 51.07m. These reservoirs do not discharge through spillways.
According to the forecast of the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, on July 4, the Northeast region tonight will have rain, moderate rain and scattered thunderstorms, locally heavy rain; tomorrow there will be moderate rain, heavy rain and thunderstorms, locally very heavy rain, especially the Northeast region from tomorrow afternoon will have heavy to very heavy rain.
The Southern region has showers and thunderstorms in some places, especially in the late afternoon and evening there are scattered showers and thunderstorms, locally heavy rain in some places.
