Hydropower reservoirs in the Northern region on August 4 continued to maintain below normal water level, Hoa Binh reservoir received large water flow.

According to updated data from the reservoir operation monitoring system at 2:00 PM on August 4th, in the Northeast region, Tuyen Quang reservoir has an upstream water level of 105.91 m, 14.09 m lower than the normal water level. Water flow to the reservoir reached 1,732 m3/s, total discharge flow 1,230.43 m3/s, of which 492 m3/s through the discharge gate and 738.43 m3/s through the power generating unit.

In the Northwest region, Lai Chau Lake reached a water level of 289.27 m, nearly 6 m lower than the normal water level. The water flow to the lake reached 2,065 m3/s, the entire 1,527 m3/s was discharged through the power generating unit, not overflowing.

Son La Lake recorded a water level of 197.35 m, lower than the normal water level by 17.65 m. Water flow to the lake reached 3,487 m3/s, generated electricity with a flow rate of 3,259 m3/s, without overflowing.

Hoa Binh Lake has an upstream water level of 101.74 m, 15.26 m lower than the normal water level. The water flow to the lake reached 4,372 m3/s, while the power generation flow reached 2,850 m3/s, without overflow discharge operation.

Thac Ba Lake maintains a water level of 53.08 m, nearly 5 m lower than the normal water level. Water flow to the lake reaches 879 m3/s, and power generation flow is 452.03 m3/s.

For the two reservoirs of Ban Chat and Huoi Quang, the latest data was updated at 11:45 PM on July 31. Ban Chat reservoir has a water level of 470.74 m, water inflow to the reservoir 222 m3/s, power generation 242 m3/s. Huoi Quang reservoir reached a water level of 368.7 m, water inflow to the reservoir 313 m3/s, power generation 342 m3/s. Both reservoirs do not operate overflow discharge.
