According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, in the Northern region, the water level on the Thao River at Yen Bai and Phu Tho stations continues to change slowly. On the Lo River, the water level at Tuyen Quang and Vu Quang stations tends to rise due to the influence of rain in the basin and the regulation of hydropower reservoirs on the upper line.
The flow to Hoa Binh reservoir on the Da River continues to fluctuate according to the operating regime of hydropower reservoirs. Meanwhile, the water level downstream of the Red River at Hanoi station at 7:00 am on August 3rd was at 3.98 m and continued the downward trend, Tuyen Quang reservoir still maintained opening 1 deep discharge gate.
Monitoring data shows that the water level at Yen Bai station on Thao river reached 27.04 m, Phu Tho reached 13.22 m; Tuyen Quang station on Lo river reached 16.90 m, Vu Quang station reached 9.18 m.
In the Thai Binh river basin, water levels on the Cau, Thuong, Luc Nam and Thai Binh rivers continue to fluctuate due to the influence of tides.
In the next 36 hours, the water level at Pha Lai station on the Thai Binh River is forecast to be highest at about 1.60 m, lowest at 1.30 m. The actual measured water levels at Dap Cau, Phu Lang Thuong, Luc Nam and Pha Lai stations are 2.07 m, 1.61 m, 1.40 m and 1.55 m respectively.
For the North Central region, the water level on the Ma River, Ca River, La River, Gianh River and Huong River mainly changes slowly; the downstream area continues to be affected by tides, while the midstream is affected by reservoir regulation.
In the South Central Coast, water levels on the Vu Gia - Thu Bon, Tra Khuc, Kon rivers and downstream of the Ba River continue to fluctuate due to reservoir regulation and tidal influence. The actual measured water level at Tra Khuc station reached 2.34 m, Thanh Hoa on the Kon River 6.84 m.
In the Southeast region, the water level on the Dong Nai River at Ta Lai station changed slowly, while the Be River at Phuoc Hoa station continued to fluctuate according to the regulation of the above-line hydropower reservoir. The actual measured water level at Ta Lai reached 111.32 m, while Phuoc Hoa reached 20.57 m.
In the Central Highlands, the water level on the Dak Bla River continues to fluctuate according to the regulation of hydropower reservoirs. On the Krong Ana River, the water level continues the downward trend, other rivers change according to reservoir operation.
For the Mekong Delta, the water level at the headwaters of the Tien and Hau rivers fluctuates according to the tide. The highest water level on August 2nd at Tan Chau station on the Tien River reached 1.92 m, and at Chau Doc on the Hau River reached 2.03 m. It is forecasted that by August 7th, the highest water level in Tan Chau will be 1.8 m, and Chau Doc will be about 1.9 m.
