According to data from Vietnam Electricity Group, at 12:30 pm on May 5, the water flow to the reservoirs on the Da River system remained at a fairly good level, serving stable power generation.
Hoa Binh Lake recorded water inflow reaching 2,138 m3/s, total discharge through the plant 2,131 m3/s; the upstream water level is 108.48 m, lower than the normal water level by 117 m.
Son La Lake discharged 1,793 m3/s through the plant, while the inflow to the lake reached 126 m3/s, the upstream water level was at 205.15 m.
Lai Chau Lake operates power generation with a total discharge volume of 518 m3/s, water level reaches 294.21 m, approaching the normal rising water level of 295 m.
Tuyen Quang Lake recorded a water level of 110.46 m, inflow to the lake 134 m3/s and discharge 129.47 m3/s through the plant.
Meanwhile, Ban Chat, Huoi Quang and Thac Ba reservoirs have not generated electricity because the water flow to the reservoirs is still low.
According to the forecast of the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, on May 5, the Northern region will have showers and thunderstorms in some places; sunny skies with reduced clouds in the afternoon. The highest temperature is commonly 27 - 30 degrees C, in some places above 30 degrees C.
The Southern region in the late afternoon and evening has scattered showers and thunderstorms, locally heavy rain, showers and thunderstorms in some places at night, sunny days.
