According to updated operating data at 12:00 on July 9, in the Northeast region, Tuyen Quang reservoir has an upstream water level of 107.33m, lower than the normal water level (120m) by 12.67m. Inflow to the reservoir reached 1,229m3/s, total discharge flow 1,262.23m3/s.
In the Northwest region, Son La Lake continues to be the lake with the largest inflow of water in the country, reaching 6,431m3/s. The lake water level is at an elevation of 195.38m, lower than the normal water level (215m) by 19.62m. The lake is generating electricity with a discharge through the plant of 3,220m3/s.
Hoa Binh Lake has a water level of 103.36m, lower than the normal water level (117m) by 13.64m. The water flow to the lake reached 3, 302m3/s, while the total discharge flow was 2,790m3/s.
At Lai Chau reservoir, the water level reached 284.29m, 10.71m lower than the normal water level (295m). Water inflow to the reservoir reached 1,841m3/s, total discharge flow of 1,448m3/s.
Ban Chat Lake is currently at an altitude of 458.38m, 16.62m lower than the normal water level (475m). The water flow to the lake reaches 520m3/s, while the total discharge flow is 88m3/s.
Notably, Huoi Quang reservoir has a water level of 369.76m, only about 0.24m lower than the normal water level (370m). The inflow to the reservoir reached 298m3/s, while the discharge through the plant was at 338m3/s.
For Thac Ba reservoir, the water level reached 51.74m, 6.26m lower than the normal water level (58m). The water flow to the reservoir reached 1,117m3/s, but has not yet been discharged.
According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, on July 9, the North will have scattered showers and thunderstorms, locally with moderate to heavy rain, especially in mountainous and midland areas and Quang Ninh, there will be very heavy rain. The Central region continues to experience hot weather, while the Southern region in the afternoon and evening will have scattered showers and thunderstorms, locally with heavy rain.
