According to data from Vietnam Electricity Group, at 8:00 AM on May 15, in the Northeast region, Tuyen Quang reservoir reached a water level of 110.52 m, nearly 10 m lower than the normal water level. Inflow to the reservoir reached 174 m3/s, total discharge 489.02 m3/s through power generation.
In the Northwest region, Lai Chau Lake has a water level of 289.45 m, a water inflow of 292 m3/s, and a total discharge of 1,010 m3/s. Son La Lake reached 204.48 m, a water inflow of 1,368 m3/s, and a total discharge of 2,072 m3/s.
Hoa Binh Lake reached 105.63 m, with a water inflow of 2,530 m3/s and a total discharge volume of 2,523 m3/s, being the lake with the largest discharge volume in the area.
Ban Chat and Huoi Quang reservoirs have low water inflow and have not generated electricity.
Thac Ba Lake reached a water level of 51.3 m, water inflow of 95 m3/s, total discharge of nearly 75 m3/s.
According to the forecast of the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, on May 15, the Northern region will have showers and thunderstorms in some places in the evening and tonight; tomorrow it will be hot, with intense heat in some places. The highest temperature is commonly 35 - 37 degrees Celsius, with some places above 37 degrees Celsius.
The area from Thanh Hoa to Da Nang city and the east of provinces from Quang Ngai to Dak Lak will have hot and intense heat with the highest temperature commonly 36 - 38 degrees C, in some places above 38 degrees C.
The Southern region in the late afternoon and night has showers and thunderstorms in some places; hot sunny days, the East has places with intense heat above 37 degrees Celsius.
