According to Plan No. 341/KH-UBND on giving gifts to the subjects, Hanoi requires good implementation of visits and giving gifts to ensure correct and complete policies and regulations, in a timely manner according to current financial regulations.
Hanoi plans to give more than 1.1 million gifts, with a total budget of 574.4 billion VND guaranteed from the city and commune budgets according to decentralization and other legal mobilization sources.
The highest rate of 2 million VND/person applies to Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, Heroes of the Armed Forces, Heavy War Invalids, revolutionary veterans and meritorious people.
Other groups receive 1 million VND/person; the elderly receive a life wish and a life celebration of 700,000 - 1.5 million VND/person.
Quang Ninh
The People's Council of Quang Ninh province has just passed a resolution on giving gifts to social policy beneficiaries and other beneficiaries on the occasion of the annual Lunar New Year for the period 2026-2030, effective from January 1, 2026.
The Resolution stipulates that 18 groups are allowed to receive Tet gifts such as Labor Heroes in the renovation period, households with soldiers on duty in particularly difficult areas, Truong Sa archipelago or party members who are 60 years of Party membership.
The policy also targets people aged 70 and over, poor households, households escaping poverty, near-poor households, social pension beneficiaries...
The gift level ranges from 300,000 VND to 2 million VND depending on the group. Specific units such as the No. 2 Vocational School, the Provincial Social Assembly Center and the Provincial Drug Rehabilitation Center will receive gifts of 6.5 million VND in cash and in kind.
It is expected that Quang Ninh will have more than 169,000 individuals and units benefiting with a budget of over 69 billion VND.
Ninh Binh
Recently, the Ninh Binh Provincial People's Council has approved a new policy on the level of gifts to wish longevity and celebrate the life of the elderly, effective from September 18, 2025.
People aged 70 and 75 were given 300,000 VND, people aged 80 and 85 received 500,000 VND, and people aged 95 were given 700,000 VND.
Elderly people over 100 years old received gifts of 1 million VND. In particular, people who are 100 years old will receive gifts of 5m of silk fabric worth no more than 1.5 million VND and 1 million VND in cash.
Thai Nguyen
The People's Council of Thai Nguyen province has passed a resolution on gifts of life wishes and longevity wishes for the elderly, effective from November 10, 2025.
Accordingly, people aged 70 receive gifts of 300,000 VND, 75 years old receive 400,000 VND, 80 years old receive 500,000 VND, 85 years old receive 700,000 VND, 90 years old receive 800,000 VND and 95 years old receive 900,000 VND. In particular, people aged 100 were given 5m of silk fabric worth a maximum of 1 million VND and 1.5 million VND in cash.
The gifts for people aged 90 and over are guaranteed by the Department of Health, while the group aged 70 to 85 is paid by the People's Committee at the commune level in the annual regular expenditure estimate.
