According to the Southern Hydrometeorological Station, the area is entering a period of moderate to heavy rain and thunderstorms in the coming days.

In the next 24-48 hours, the low pressure trough with a axis of 19-22 degrees North latitude will weaken. On September 9, a tropical convergence zone will form, with axis passing through about 17-20 degrees North latitude. Southwest monsoon will operate from an average level, then gradually strengthen; initial wind convergence will be weak but tend to strengthen.

In the next 3-10 days, the intertropical convergence zone tends to move southward and gradually become stronger. On the intertropical convergence zone, there is a possibility of forming a tropical cyclone in the East Sea. Southwest monsoon operates from moderate to strong, wind convergence continues to be good.

Due to the influence of the above weather patterns, from September 9 to 1:00 PM on September 11, the South will have moderate rain, heavy rain and thunderstorms, with a common total rainfall of 70-140 mm, in some places over 150 mm.

In Ho Chi Minh City and neighboring provinces and cities, heavy rain will continue until the end of September 12. From 1:00 PM on September 11 to 1:00 PM on September 12, common rainfall is 40-80 mm, in some places over 80 mm.

The meteorological agency warns of the risk of flooding in low-lying areas, urban areas, industrial parks, riverside areas, and canals. During thunderstorms, people need to be wary of tornadoes, lightning, hail and strong gusts of wind.
