It is forecasted that by 7:00 p.m. tonight (November 6), the center of storm No. 13 will be located in the coastal area of Quang Ngai - Dak Lak, maintaining the intensity of level 13 - 14, gusting to level 17.

On the morning of November 6, in Gia Lai, Lieutenant General Le Ngoc Hai - Commander of the Military Region directly inspected the storm prevention and control work at Quy Nhon fishing port and Phong Lan Kindergarten.

At Quy Nhon Fishing Port, Lieutenant General Le Ngoc Hai praised the proactive spirit of the Party Committee, government, and armed forces in implementing storm response plans, and at the same time requested the forces to continue to strictly implement the "4 on-site" motto, grasp the situation, and avoid being passive or surprised. The Military Region Commander emphasized that the Gia Lai Provincial Border Guard Command needs to strengthen inspection, propaganda, guidance, and support for fishermen to bring ships, vehicles, and aquaculture cages to safe anchorage; Absolutely do not let people stay on the ships or return after being evacuated.

According to the Central Hydrometeorological Station, at 7:00 a.m. this morning, November 6, the center of storm No. 13 was about 330km east-southeast of Quy Nhon, Gia Lai province (at about 13.2 degrees North latitude, 112.3 degrees East longitude). The strongest wind near the storm center is level 14 (150 - 166 km/h), gusting to level 17, moving west-northwest at a speed of about 30 km/h.

According to the assessment, storm No. 13 is likely to cause a level 4 natural disaster risk, especially in the western area between the East Sea, the sea area from Quang Ngai to Dak Lak (including Ly Son) and the mainland area from Quang Ngai to Gia Lai.

The sea area from southern Quang Tri to Da Nang, Khanh Hoa and neighboring mainland areas are warned of level 3 risk.

By the morning of November 7, the storm moved deep into the mainland, passing through the southern Laos area, weakening into a tropical depression, then becoming a low pressure area in the East of Thailand.

At sea, strong winds of level 12 - 14, gusts of level 17, waves 6 - 9m high, the sea is very rough. The coastal area of Da Nang has water rising from 0.4 - 0.8m, combined with large waves that can cause flooding, coastal erosion and waves to low-lying residential areas.

On land, from this afternoon and evening, the wind will gradually increase to level 6 - 8, gusting to level 9 - 10 in coastal areas of Da Nang (old Quang Nam).

Heavy rain occurred widely from November 6 to 7, with total rainfall ranging from 100 to 300mm, in some places over 400mm, concentrated in Hoi An, Dien Ban, Tam Ky, Nui Thanh, Tra My...
