According to the Central Hydrometeorological Station, at 7:00 a.m. this morning, November 6, the center of storm No. 13 was about 330km east-southeast of Quy Nhon, Gia Lai province (at about 13.2 degrees North latitude, 112.3 degrees East longitude). The strongest wind near the storm center is level 14 (150 - 166 km/h), gusting to level 17, moving west-northwest at a speed of about 30 km/h.
According to the assessment, storm No. 13 is likely to cause a level 4 natural disaster risk, especially in the western area between the East Sea, the sea area from Quang Ngai to Dak Lak (including Ly Son) and the mainland area from Quang Ngai to Gia Lai.
The sea area from southern Quang Tri to Da Nang, Khanh Hoa and neighboring mainland areas are warned of level 3 risk.
By the morning of November 7, the storm moved deep into the mainland, passing through the southern Laos area, weakening into a tropical depression, then becoming a low pressure area in the East of Thailand.
At sea, strong winds of level 12 - 14, gusts of level 17, waves 6 - 9m high, the sea is very rough. The coastal area of Da Nang has water rising from 0.4 - 0.8m, combined with large waves that can cause flooding, coastal erosion and waves to low-lying residential areas.
On land, from this afternoon and evening, the wind will gradually increase to level 6 - 8, gusting to level 9 - 10 in coastal areas of Da Nang (old Quang Nam).
