On the morning of August 19, the Department of Propaganda and Training, General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army inspected the implementation of the Project "Supporting information and propaganda on national defense, security, ethnicity and ethnic policies in provinces bordering the mainland" in Tuyen Quang province.
Attending the Conference were leaders of the Propaganda and Training Department, leaders of Military Region 2, representatives of the Military Command (CHQS) of 4 border provinces under Military Region 2 and departments and branches of Tuyen Quang province.
The project "Supporting information and propaganda on national defense, security, ethnicity and ethnic policies in provinces in land border areas" was approved by the Prime Minister in Decision No. 1219/QD-TTg dated October 18, 2024 (referred to as Project 1219).
In the past time, the Provincial Military Command of Tuyen Quang province has promoted information and propaganda work to people in the area, especially in 17 border communes, where many ethnic minorities are concentrated.
Propaganda work is carried out flexibly, in accordance with the daily life and customs of the people, such as organizing propaganda right in residential areas, market fairs, schools, border gates, and open paths.
Diverse forms of propaganda from legal documents, film screenings, leaflets to consulting and answering legal knowledge to help people understand the provisions of the law.
However, according to a representative of the Provincial Military Command of Tuyen Quang, the implementation of Project 1219 in the area is still limited, such as propaganda forms in some areas are still slow to innovate, not keeping up with the digital transformation process and social networks.
The skills and experience in information and propaganda of some grassroots officials are still limited, and the application of information technology is not uniform.
Emphasizing the importance of effectively implementing Project 1219, Colonel Do Duy Chinh - Deputy Director of the Department of Propaganda and Training said that the inspection aims to focus on removing difficulties and obstacles when implementing.
For the contents that need to be supplemented, the working delegation will advise the Central Military Commission and the Ministry of National Defense, thereby reporting to the Prime Minister for adjustment so that Project 1219 comes into life, bringing practical efficiency as required by the purpose when building," Colonel Do Duy Chinh said.
Tomorrow (August 20), the Department of Propaganda and Training will organize a training program on knowledge, information skills, and propaganda to implement Project 1219 for delegates of Military Commands under Military Region 2 and some related units.
