Amidst the fiery summer sunshine of the Western region, the construction site of the Can Tho - Ca Mau expressway is still bustling with the sound of machinery and the footsteps of hundreds of workers.
According to Lao Dong Newspaper, at the IC5 intersection, more than 150 people and equipment are focusing on high-altitude construction for many different stages.

Mr. Nguyen Bang (born in 1997, Bac Lieu province) shared that harsh weather really affects his health. However, he and his colleagues always encouraged each other and were determined to complete the assigned work.
Sharing the same spirit, Mr. Nguyen Van Ngu (born in 1976, Dak Lak province) confided that the hot weather makes outdoor work more tiring. But thinking that the completed road will bring convenience to people, making it easier for goods to circulate, he has more motivation to try.

Mr. Nguyen Thanh Vinh - Deputy Executive Director of Truong Son Nam Board - said that the unit is constructing 21km of road with 20 bridges and has reached about 50% of the workload. Currently, there are about 150 engineers and workers working in the spirit of "3 shifts", taking advantage of the whole night to speed up the progress.
Mr. Nguyen Thanh Vinh added that with hot weather combined with a large amount of work, the unit also did not forget to remind workers to pay attention to their health, drink enough water and rest properly to ensure endurance in harsh weather conditions.

Overcoming many difficulties, the workers at the Can Tho - Ca Mau expressway construction site have always maintained a sense of responsibility and enthusiasm. They understand that every drop of sweat that falls on them contributes to the development of their homeland.
My Thuan Project Management Board informed that the construction progress has reached 66/70% of the plan. Basic material problems have been resolved. It is expected that all bridges on the route will be completed before April 30 and 100% of the work of reloading the entire route will also be completed at the same time.

According to the Ministry of Construction, contractors have mobilized 183 construction teams, 971 machines and equipment, 3,000 human resources, and organized overtime construction. To date, the route has been relocated for 74.9km (nearly 90%), the bridge section has deployed 95/95% of bridges on the main route, meeting the schedule.
Previously, at the inspection of the Can Tho - Ca Mau expressway in Ca Mau province, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh proposed that it must be inaugurated on December 19, 2025. To achieve this, it is necessary to construct more quickly, be more determined, and focus all resources to complete the entire route.
The Can Tho - Ca Mau expressway project has a main route length of 110.85km (through Can Tho city is 0.6km, Hau Giang province is 63.65km, Bac Lieu province is 7.7km, Kien Giang province is 17km, Ca Mau province is 21.9km) and 25.85km connecting route.
