On September 13, Kim Ngan Commune People's Committee (Quang Tri province) said that very heavy rain is occurring in the area, causing water to rise at the spillways on Highway 9B.
At spillway 23 and spillway 25, water has overflowed the road surface, flowing swiftly, with a depth of about 60cm. Vehicles currently cannot pass through the area.
Faced with the above situation, Kim Ngan commune has assigned forces to coordinate guarding at flooded points, warning people not to pass through dangerous areas.
According to the Quang Tri Provincial Civil Defense Command, as of 5:00 AM on September 13, the whole province had 8,623 vehicles with 24,195 workers. Of which, 8,552 vehicles with 23,891 workers were anchored at the wharf.
Currently, there are 71 vehicles with 304 workers operating at sea. In which, the coastal sea area has 37 vehicles with 74 workers; the southern Quang Tri sea area has 2 vehicles with 11 workers moving ashore.
In the Da Nang sea area, there are 10 vehicles with 66 workers moving ashore; in the Quang Ngai sea area, there are 3 vehicles with 20 workers moving ashore.
In addition, Khanh Hoa sea area has 5 vehicles with 35 workers; Gia Lai sea area has 6 vehicles with 42 workers; Ho Chi Minh City sea area has 8 vehicles with 56 workers. No vehicles operating in the Gulf of Tonkin sea area.
The Quang Tri Provincial Civil Defense Command said that vehicles operating at sea have grasped information about the tropical depression.
