On June 20, Director of the Department of Agriculture and Environment of Thanh Hoa province Cao Van Cuong said: After receiving information that thousands of fish sauce bottles - believed to be produced in Thanh Hoa - were thrown away in Quang Nam province, the unit has directed the Department of Quality Inspection and Brand Development to conduct an inspection at the production facility.

"We have established an inspection team, went to the factory to verify the specifics. When there is a detailed report, we will inform you later" - Mr. Cuong said.
Previously, as reported by Lao Dong Newspaper, on the evening of June 18, people in Phuoc Loc village, Tam Thai commune, Phu Ninh district, Quang Nam province discovered thousands of bottles of fish sauce and dipping sauce thrown away in the bushes along the main Phu Ninh canal.
Quang Nam Provincial Police, Tam Thai Commune Police in coordination with the Market Management Department (Quang Nam Provincial Department of Industry and Trade) have drawn up a record and collected the products to the Tam Thai Commune Police headquarters for counting and serving the investigation.

According to the label, these products are manufactured by Thanh Hoa Seafood Processing Joint Stock Company (address: 149 Le Lai Street, Dong Son Ward, Thanh Hoa City) at Hoa Loc Seafood Processing Factory (Lot CN1, Hoa Loc Fisheries Cluster, Hoa Loc Commune, Hau Loc District, Thanh Hoa Province).
From the address listed on the packaging, Lao Dong Newspaper reporters came to record. At 149 Le Lai, there is no signboard to name Thanh Hoa Seafood Processing Joint Stock Company but the signboard is the name of another company. The campus in front of these houses has a 2-storey building selling plastic products, the inside is being renovated into a sports field.

Besides number 149, at number 151 there is a large sign with the name of Thanh Hoa Seafood Processing Joint Stock Company and the words "Thanh Hai fish sauce".
According to the People's Committee of Dong Son Ward, Thanh Hoa Seafood Processing Joint Stock Company was leased land by the Provincial People's Committee for 50 years but has now leased it to another unit. Currently, there is no longer any production or business of fish sauce here.
