Accompanying poor households and policy families
The family of Mrs. Ho Thi Muoi (Son Dong commune, Ben Tre city, Ben Tre province) is one of many households in difficult circumstances that have had the staff of Ben Tre City Electricity Company (Ben Tre Electricity Company) come to their house to check and repair the electrical system after the meter for free, and replace the lighting with energy-saving LED lights. "I am so poor, so difficult! The electricity workers came to give me gifts, light bulbs, check and repair the electrical system, I am very happy and grateful!", Mrs. Ho Thi Muoi said emotionally.
Mrs. Muoi's family is just one of more than 1,500 poor households and policy families in Ben Tre province in particular and thousands of households in 21 southern provinces and cities in general that have received support from the Southern Electricity Industry to repair and install new electrical systems for free, and receive gifts during "Customer Appreciation Month" in 2024.
For families facing housing difficulties, EVNSPC supports 50 million VND/household to build and repair houses of gratitude and love. These houses were given before the Lunar New Year to help poor households celebrate Tet in a spacious and cozy house.
As one of the poor households who have just been given a house of gratitude, Mr. Vo Van Hoang (Vinh Thuan commune, Vinh Hung district, Long An province) shared: "I am very happy and fortunate to have a new, spacious house. The house is not only a shelter but also a hope and motivation for my family to try to overcome difficulties and stabilize our lives"...
In Binh Duong, Customer Appreciation activities have also added confidence and strength to many difficult circumstances, especially poor students and ethnic minority students. Hus Si Na - Student of Class 3B, Hoa Loc Primary School, Minh Hoa Commune, Dau Tieng District - shared: "I just received a bicycle from Binh Duong Electricity Company. I am very happy, because this has been my dream for a long time".
Accompanying poor households and policy families in 21 southern provinces and cities during Customer Appreciation Month, the Southern Electricity sector also implemented many meaningful activities such as: Visiting and supporting poor households, supporting lonely elderly people without support, policy families, orphans; visiting and giving gifts to express gratitude to Vietnamese Heroic Mothers...
Join hands to build new countryside
One of the outstanding activities in EVNSPC's "Customer Appreciation Month" in 2024 is the program to install new solar lighting systems on rural roads without street lights to help people travel more conveniently and safely at night.
Mr. Tra Dung Diep - Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of My Tho Commune, Cao Lanh District, Dong Thap Province - said: "The project to light up the countryside roads is a testament to the electricity industry's concern for people's lives as well as accompanying the local development. The project contributes to ensuring security and order, improving traffic and bringing practical benefits."
During this year's Customer Appreciation Month, hundreds of unlit roads in the South will be lit up by EVNSPC member units, joining hands with local authorities to create favorable conditions for people in traffic, contributing to creating a new, clean and beautiful appearance for the countryside.
Mr. Bui Quoc Hoan - Deputy General Director of EVNSPC - said that EVNSPC always appreciates the companionship and support of all electricity customers who have contributed to helping EVNSPC complete its assigned targets and tasks. With this year's "Customer Appreciation Month", through business activities, customer service and social security, EVNSPC sends its deep gratitude to a large number of electricity customers; at the same time, creating connections, bringing practical effects to customers and the community through direct support, helping customers use electricity safely, economically and effectively, especially at the end of the year and preparing to welcome the Spring of At Ty.
