On the afternoon of May 4, it was recorded that at the domestic arrival terminal of Tan Son Nhat airport (Tan Binh district), thousands of passengers flocked to Ho Chi Minh City after a 5-day holiday. People continuously leave the station, carrying a lot of luggage after traveling or returning home to visit their families.
According to information from Tan Son Nhat International Airport, January 4 is expected to be the peak service day of Tan Son Nhat Airport, but the number of flights operated is only 729 (lower than the previous forecast of 770 flights). The number of passengers passing through the airport is nearly 120,000 (including the T3 terminal), which is also lower than the average forecast of 122,000 passengers/day.

In the domestic to domestic service area, the bustling atmosphere lasts from early morning. Many families, groups of young people, workers and laborers returned to the city to prepare for the new working week.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Hiep (24 years old, from Ha Tinh) said: "I flew from Vinh to Ho Chi Minh City this afternoon. Before that, I was worried that the airport would be as crowded as it was a few years ago, but when I arrived, it was quite airy, the procedures were quick, not taking as much time as I thought."
Mr. Nguyen Dong Hoang (27 years old, from Hue) shared: "I chose to return to Ho Chi Minh City early to avoid the cold, but in reality, the airport is quite orderly, the staff support is good, I don't have to jostle or wait as long as in previous peak periods. The luggage collection procedure is also quick".
Meanwhile, it was noted that at terminal T3, the air was quite airy, the checkpoints operated smoothly, and there was no congestion despite the high number of passengers. The airline's functional forces and staff have been increased to guide and support passengers to move smoothly.
Today, Terminal T3 has 51 flights with more than 11,500 passengers. Thanks to careful preparation, the service situation here is also stable.

Thus, in general, Tan Son Nhat International Airport has completed the peak service period during the April 30 - May 1 holiday this year. In particular, during this holiday, the port has met with activities to serve the 50th Anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification.
