Green Alliance was initiated by Vietnam Airlines as a voluntary cooperation model, connecting domestic and foreign partners to form a platform for connecting and coordinating sustainable development initiatives.
With the message "Fly high on sustainable aspirations", this model aims for a harmonious development approach, in which economic growth goes hand in hand with responsibility to the environment, society and future generations.
Vietnam Airlines said that in recent years, the unit has implemented many programs oriented towards sustainable development on three pillars: environment, society and governance.
Initiatives such as the use of sustainable aviation fuel (SAF), the "Light Fly" campaign to Con Dao, Hanoi, or the post-flight food donation program have been implemented regularly.
At the same time, the Company coordinates with management agencies and social organizations to carry out community activities such as transporting organs for emergency care, planting and restoring forests, raising awareness of safety in cyberspace and building a Green Library.

Speaking at the event, Mr. Dang Ngoc Hoa - Chairman of the Board of Directors of Vietnam Airlines - emphasized: "Green Alliance is not just a cooperation initiative, but Vietnam Airlines' long-term action commitment in the green transformation journey. We determine that sustainable development is no longer an option, but a foundation for competitiveness and long-term development. With the role of National Airlines, Vietnam Airlines will proactively connect and coordinate with state management agencies and partners to implement practical programs, creating sustainable value for society and the environment".
Right at the ceremony, Vietnam Airlines signed a Cooperation Agreement with the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment for the period 2026–2030, and also signed a Coordination Regulation with the National Coordination Center for Human Organ Transplantation and the Traffic Police Department to improve the effectiveness of humanitarian activities and community service.
Activities within the framework of the Alliance are implemented on three pillars: environment, society and governance, with specific programs such as SkyTeam's Aviation Challenge 2026, developing the "VNA Net Zero" system, promoting recycling of on-flight materials and expanding community initiatives in the fields of health, environment and social security.
The launch of the Green Alliance contributes to concretizing Vietnam Airlines' sustainable development strategy, while creating a platform for stakeholders to coordinate in implementing initiatives in a more synchronous and effective direction.
Through this, the National Airlines continues to affirm its connecting role in promoting activities for the environment and society, towards sustainable development in the long term.
