On June 16, the Standing Committee of Nghe An Provincial Party Committee held a meeting chaired by Provincial Party Committee Secretary Nguyen Duc Trung to give opinions on many important contents, including the project to merge irrigation companies in the province.
At the meeting, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee agreed on the policy for the People's Committee of Nghe An province to submit to the Prime Minister for consideration, allowing the merger of 7 Irrigation One Member Co., Ltd. including: North, South, Northwest, Southwest, Thanh Chuong, Tan Ky and Phu Quy into a unit, Nghe An Irrigation One Member Co., Ltd.
The project was developed to implement the policies of the Government, the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment, as well as the requirements for reforming the apparatus of the Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial People's Committee on streamlining the organization, improving management efficiency and service provision efficiency.
According to the assessment of specialized agencies, these companies currently have the same function of managing and exploiting irrigation works, providing water for agricultural production and daily life. However, the dispersed activities by area make it difficult for resources to be used effectively, making it difficult to promote the combined strength.
Nghe An Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Duc Trung affirmed that the merger will create conditions for rearranging the organization in a streamlined direction, while improving the quality of irrigation services, using human resources, facilities and finance more effectively. He requested that the project must be implemented in accordance with regulations, ensuring stable team ideology and effective operation after the merger.
The Provincial Party Standing Committee assigned the Provincial People's Committee Party Standing Committee to lead the Provincial People's Committee to direct relevant agencies to coordinate, advise, submit to competent authorities for approval and organize the implementation of the merger in accordance with procedures and laws.
