The People's Committee of Binh Duong province has sent an official dispatch to relevant departments, Binh Duong Newspaper, Binh Duong Radio and Television Station on implementing the project of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee on arranging and merging provincial press agencies.
According to the project, Binh Duong Newspaper is currently a public service unit with revenue under the Binh Duong Provincial Party Committee, under the direct leadership of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, with its own seal and account. The newspaper has all 72 civil servants and employees. Including 36 positions and 36 labor contracts. In addition, the newspaper has 6 collaborators.
Binh Duong Newspaper has a headquarters of 2,154 m2 at 543 Le Hong Phong, Phu Hoa Ward, Thu Dau Mot City, Binh Duong Province. The Newspaper's assets include 4 cars, machinery and office equipment for journalism. This is a public service unit that is self-sufficient in part of regular expenditures (group 3 unit).
Meanwhile, Binh Duong Radio and Television Station is a public service unit under the People's Committee of Binh Duong province, with its own seal and account.
Currently, the station has 211 civil servants and workers. Including 153 civil servants and 58 labor contracts. In addition, there are 9 regular workers. The agency has 2 locations at 46 Dai Lo Binh Duong, Phu Hoa Ward and No. 9, Quarter 2, Le Duan Street, Hoa Phu Ward, Thu Dau Mot City. The total area of the two facilities is 35,546 m2. Regarding the name plan, after the arrangement and merger, the unit is named Binh Duong Radio and Television Newspaper. This is the Press Agency of the Binh Duong Provincial Party Committee, a public service unit under the Provincial Party Committee, with its own seal and account. After the arrangement, the current number of heads and deputy heads will remain the same. The new unit's leadership team is 5 people, 1 Editor-in-Chief and 4 Deputy Editor-in-Chief. Regarding the payroll, the total number of civil servants and contracts of the two units is 283 people.
Regarding the working headquarters, all personnel will work at the headquarters at No. 9 Le Duan Street, Quarter 2, Hoa Phu Ward, Thu Dau Mot City. The headquarters and surplus assets, financial aspects will be handled according to Decree No. 50/2025/ND-CP of the Government and other relevant documents regulating the handling of public assets when merging and consolidating.
The effectiveness of the arrangement is to reduce 3 department-level units (reaching a rate of 25%), reduce 3 department heads (reaching a rate of 10%).
