Most people often take advantage of the sidewalk space or use services, looking for parking near their home at cheaper prices.
Why is the smart parking lot unstable?
The Department of Construction of Da Nang City said that parking lot No. 166 Hai Phong (Phase 1) is invested and managed by the Traffic Construction Investment Project Management Board (now the Traffic and Agricultural Construction Investment Project Management Board); The project is handed over to the Department of Construction of Da Nang City for operation from March 2024.
Recently, the Department of Construction (formerly the Department of Transport) has coordinated with relevant localities to organize propaganda and install directional signs so that people know, participate in parking and at the same time, adjust traffic organization in the parking area accordingly, in order to enhance traffic order and safety.
However, currently the number of people participating in parking at parking lot No. 166 Hai Phong is not high, due to some reasons such as the lack of determination in handling violations by the authorities, the convenience and habit of parking on the road, so there is still a situation of vehicles parking illegally...
According to the Department of Construction, currently the collection of parking fees at parking lot No. 166 Hai Phong (phase 1) is carried out according to the content of Decision No. 50/2019/QD-UBND dated December 3, 2019 of the City People's Committee, through a survey of people's opinions, as well as reflections from other information channels, the price of parking services at smart parking lots is quite high.
Because parking lots are invested in modern technology ( semi-autonomous parking system, using Puzzle parking file system technology); How to calculate parking service prices at smart parking lots is calculated by hour (at regular parking lots, temporary parking lots are calculated by turn).
To improve the above situation, the Department of Construction has reported a proposal and the City People's Committee has agreed in principle to adjust the price of parking services at smart parking lots to suit the market...
