Quang Binh - In the last days of the year, fishermen in Canh Duong village had a big catch of shrimp, each trip earning millions of dong.

In the days before Tet, the bustling working atmosphere covers the fishing village of Canh Duong (Quang Trach district, Quang Binh province). Fishermen here have consecutively hit the jackpot with shrimp. According to information, each boat brings back an average of nearly 700kg of shrimp per trip.

Canh Duong Commune People's Committee said that this Tet holiday, local fishermen are actively going offshore, not only to develop their family economy, but also to contribute to protecting the sovereignty of the Fatherland's sea and islands.

Many boats return with full holds of shrimp, fish... Shrimp, the species of shrimp that accounts for a large proportion of the catch, is an important source of income for fishermen.

This shrimp species is sold for 100,000 to 150,000 VND/kg depending on size, bringing millions of dong in profit to fishermen each trip.

Fishermen only need to go 1 to 3 nautical miles offshore to be able to catch shrimp. Thanks to its favorable location and experienced workforce, Canh Duong fishing village impresses with its bumper fishing trips at the end of the year.
