On the morning of April 12, information appeared on social networks that many people in Dong Om village, Cao Duong commune, Luong Son district had gathered to block the road leading to the Hoang Long Cement Factory Project area, to protest the pollution.
Ms. Thu Hong - a resident of Dong Om village, was upset: "Since the construction of the quarry and the factory, this area has always been dusty. When it rains, it is dirty, muddy, and slippery, making it easy to fall off a motorbike. The houses around here are all closed, covered with dust, and are as deserted as if left".

Regarding the incident, the reporter contacted Mr. Quach Ngoc Quang - Chairman of the People's Committee of Cao Duong commune to verify the information.
Mr. Quang confirmed the incident and said: "Because the relocation progress has not been guaranteed, people still living in the affected area have gathered to block the road.
Currently, commune and district authorities and provincial police are coordinating to propagate and mobilize people to stabilize the situation".

According to the reporter's research, the Hoang Long Hoa Binh Cement Factory project has a total investment of VND4,980 billion, with a capacity of 2.3 million tons of cement/year.
