On September 9, the Krong Pac Commune Police (Dak Lak Province) coordinated with the Forest Protection Department of Buon Ma Thuot area to receive a golden-cheeked savant individual handed over by local people.
The yellow-cheeked reindeer handed over by the people belongs to group of endangered animals IB.
Previously, on September 7, Mr. Luong The Vinh and his wife (residing in Krong Pac commune) were working in the fields in Ea Wy village when they discovered a langur destroying the fields, so they tried to catch it.
After bringing it home and searching for information on the internet, Mr. Vinh learned that this is a rare Primitive species.
On the morning of September 9, Mr. Luong The Vinh went to the headquarters of the Krong Pac Commune Police to report and request to hand it over to the authorities.
After receiving the yellow-cheeked langur from the people, the Forest Protection Department of Buon Ma Thuot area will release it back into the wild according to regulations.
