On September 4, information from the Cu Chi Forest Protection Department under the Ho Chi Minh City Forest Protection Department said that the unit had received care, raised and released a golden-cheeked vulture back into the natural environment by Mr. N.M.T. (residing in Cu Chi commune) voluntarily transferred.
The yellow-cheeked elephant weighs about 3kg, scientific name is Nomascus gabriellae, belonging to group IB in the list of endangered, precious, and rare species according to Circular No. 27/2025 of the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment.

According to Mr. N.M.T, the female bayou was given to him by a friend when it was still young, when the female bayou had black fur, after a period of raising the female bayou, it turned yellow like now.
Recently, through newspapers, radio and social networks, Mr. N.M.T. has realized the provisions of the law on the protection of endangered, precious and rare wild animals, so he has proactively contacted local authorities and forest rangers to hand over the monkey and release it back into the natural environment according to the provisions of law.
About two weeks ago, a family member opposite Mr. N.M.T's house also voluntarily transferred a yellow-cheeked baby population to the unit for care, raising and releasing it back into the natural environment.
