On November 17, the Party Committee and People's Committee of Hung Nguyen commune, Nghe An province, and his family held a ceremony to receive the remains of martyr Nguyen Van Son in a solemn and emotional atmosphere.
Martyr Nguyen Van Son was born in 1960 in Hung Dao commune, now Hung Nguyen commune. In April 1978, he enlisted in the army at the age of 18, belonging to Company 6, Battalion 5, Regiment 24, serving to protect the southwestern border of the Fatherland.
In a battle, he was injured and transferred to the regimental infirmary for treatment. On November 7, 1978, the most famous soldier Nguyen Van Son died less than half a year after leaving his hometown to fight.

Many years after the war, the family searched for martyrs' graves but to no avail. It was not until the early 2000s, through information from his former comrades' family, that relatives learned that his grave was buried at the Doi 82 - Tay Ninh Martyrs' Cemetery.
Li Zhi Son is the second child in a family of six siblings and the eldest son. His parents passed away more than 10 years ago, carrying the pain of not being able to bring their son back to his hometown.
"Now the family has fulfilled its wish to bring her uncle back to reunite with her grandparents. We were very moved when it was cold but the government and the people did not hesitate to go out to pick up the fishermen and return," said the representative of the Son martyr's family.
The memorial service and burial of martyr Nguyen Van Son is expected to take place on the afternoon of November 18.
