On November 9, speaking with a reporter from Lao Dong Newspaper, Mr. Le Duc Tien - Vice Chairman of Quang Tri Provincial People's Committee, Head of Steering Committee 515 of Quang Tri Province - said that the province is continuing to complete the memorial items at the Hang Tam Thanh Xung phong Relic (Hang Tam Co), Thuong Trach Commune, where the remains of martyrs have just been buried in a common grave located right at the entrance to the cave.
The remains, relics and DNA samples were buried in a common grave built right at the entrance to Hang Tam Co.
According to Mr. Le Duc Tien, more than half a century has passed since November 14, 1972, when young volunteers sacrificed themselves in the fierce rain of bombs to keep the main artery supporting the South open.
That sacrifice is the tragic poem, the most sacred proof of truth: There is nothing more precious than independence and freedom - Mr. Tien said.
This is not only the return of the body, but also the return of the soul, of memory and national pride. The spirit, will and patriotism of the heroic martyrs will forever shine, forever with the young people of Vietnam.

The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee informed that today, Hang Tam Co is no longer a place of mourning but has become a "red address" of gratitude. Each group of people visiting, each incense burner is a secret promise to the past: "We will never forget".

The common grave in Hang Tam Co is not only a resting place for heroes, but also a symbol for the tens of thousands of soldiers who have passed away on Truong Son, symbolizing courage, comrade spirit and eternal patriotism.
That deep narrow rock has become a witness to immortality, where youth is transformed into a bright flame throughout history, said Mr. Tien.
Now, those who are still alive continue to preserve and promote the revolutionary heroic tradition of their ancestors, striving to build Quang Tri and the country to become more and more beautiful.
So that each incense supper offered on Hang Tam Co is not only a memory, but also a promise to history, that that sacrifice will never be forgotten.
Previously, on November 8, a visitation, memorial service and burial of martyrs' remains took place. After the funeral, the collected martyrs' remains were buried in a common grave right at the entrance to Hang Tam Co.
Information from the People's Committee of Quang Tri province, the Martyr Remains Collection Team 589 (Quang Tri Provincial Military Command) discovered and collected the remains of martyrs who heroically sacrificed their lives on 20 Quyet Thang Road.
Following the wishes of relatives, the Provincial People's Committee has requested GeneStory Joint Stock Company to support DNA assessment from socialized sources. The results showed that the examination samples all matched the samples of martyrs' relatives. The remains, relics and DNA samples were buried in a common grave built right at the entrance to Hang Tam Co.
