On the morning of December 20, Tuy An Nam Commune Police, Dak Lak Province, said that the unit had just received an object suspected to be an unexploded bullet handed over by the people.
Through initial inspection, the object was shaped like a 105 mm artillery bullet, not yet exploded, posing a potential safety risk if a strong collision occurred.
Previously, on the afternoon of December 19, while working in the mountainous area of Phu Thanh village (Tuy An Nam commune), Mr. T.M.D (28 years old, residing in Phu Thanh village) discovered a strange object suspected to be an artillery bullet lying in the open. At this time, Mr. D placed this object in front of the motorbike and took it directly to the Tuy An Nam Commune Police headquarters to hand it over.
Immediately after receiving the report, Tuy An Nam Commune Police drew up a record, sealed the evidence and reported to superiors to coordinate with the professional forces to handle it according to regulations.
At the same time, the authorities propagated that if Mr. D and local people discovered objects suspected to be bombs, mines, and bullets remaining after the war, they should absolutely not touch them but quickly report them to the authorities.
According to the initial assessment of the authorities, the above object is a remnant of the war. This is a dangerous explosive material, although it has existed for many years, but is still capable of exploding if it is strongly affected.
