For many years, Provincial Road 269C connecting National Highway 37 (Phu Binh Commune) with Trai Cau Commune (Thai Nguyen) has become a nightmare for people due to its serious deterioration.
As a vital route for travel and freight transportation in the area, the road surface is currently full of potholes, posing many potential dangers.

On July 5, Lao Dong Newspaper's reporter noted that many sections on DT.269C route were damaged, the road surface was peeling, with holes up to a meter wide, and water stagnated after each rain.
Some locations have been patched up, every time a heavy truck passes, the road surface shakes, and dust flies everywhere. During the rainy season, water filled the potholes, posing a potential risk to traffic safety.
Passing through this road regularly, Mr. Nguyen Van Sang (Phu Binh commune) shared: "I can see it in the morning but avoid it, but I am very scared when I go in the evening. Many deep sections are soaked that if you are not careful, you can easily lose control.
Not only does it pose a potential risk of unsafety when traveling, people living along both sides of the road also have to endure smoke, noise and rocks and soil every time a vehicle passes by.
Mr. Nguyen Van Hai - a resident living near the road - said that this area is often dusty and foggy on sunny days and shabby on rainy days.

The road is narrow, cars pass by continuously, many students have to move close to the edge after school, just not paying attention is a good way for vehicles to easily trip over potholes, slide onto the road.
Faced with the above situation, the People's Committee of Thai Nguyen province has approved the Project to renovate and repair DT.269C route, section Km2+100 - Km7+900 with a total investment of nearly 40 billion VND.
The project is 5.8km long, with a 9m wide roadbed, a 7cm thick C16 hot asphalt concrete road surface, and a complete drainage system, meeting the standards of a grade IV road.
The expected implementation time is about 330 days, with Project Management Board No. 5 (under the Provincial Traffic and Agricultural Construction Investment Management Board) as the investor.
Information from Project Management Board No. 5, the basic legal procedures have been completed, expected to start construction in July 2025.
The remaining section, about 4km long, from Tan Khanh commune to Trai Cau, is still damaged, the road surface is peeling and seriously degraded.
The Traffic Maintenance Management Board is coordinating with departments and branches to propose including this part in the repair plan for the coming time, ensuring synchronization throughout the route.
