On April 13, Van An Commune Police (Nghe An) said that a case of a mother and child jumping off a bridge and being lucky to be rescued by a man had just occurred in the area.
At about 7 pm on April 12, people discovered a mother and child jumping from Nam Dan bridge (belonging to Van An commune) into the river, struggling in the middle of the water. Many people immediately shouted for help and informed the functional forces.
At this time, Mr. Nguyen Trong Khanh (40 years old, residing in the locality) was walking near the above area. Hearing cries for help, he quickly jumped into the river, approached and brought both mother and child ashore safely.
During the process of rescuing people, Mr. Khanh was unfortunately cut in the leg by a sharp object, causing a deep wound. After that, he had to get 4 stitches and get tetanus vaccinated.
The cause of the incident was determined to be financial conflicts in the family, so the mother had negative actions.
