As of March 2026, the Ring Road 2.5 project section from Cau Giay street to Dich Vong New Urban Area (Cau Giay ward, Hanoi) has recorded many positive changes in site clearance (GPMB) work.
To date, most of the works within the project area have been demolished by the construction unit, creating a clean ground to prepare for the construction phase. The remaining works are expected to be completed in the first quarter, ensuring the overall progress of the project.
Time is running out, functional forces of Cau Giay ward are regularly present at the scene to count, urge and support people to carry out procedures for handing over land.
On March 4, under the supervision of functional agencies, some households proactively collected assets, architectural structures, moved furniture to hand over land for the project. The atmosphere in the site clearance area clearly changed from a waiting mentality to proactive coordination.

The manager of a restaurant with land area within the recovered area said that as soon as they received the notice from the ward, the restaurant quickly mobilized personnel to collect and move assets out of the land boundary.
Although the business premises are narrowed, which has a certain impact on business, we people strongly support the city's policy of opening roads. We hope that when there is a clean premises, the project will be constructed quickly and completed soon to make the area's appearance more spacious," this person shared.
The Ring Road 2.5 project, Cau Giay - Dich Vong New Urban Area section, has a length of 420m, a cross-section of 50m. The project was approved in October 2017, with a total recovered land area of 21,459.7m2, involving 329 households and 9 organizations.
Site clearance work has been implemented since the end of 2017, but for many years the progress has been slow due to obstacles.

Implementing the direction of the City Party Committee and Hanoi City People's Committee on ensuring the progress of completing site clearance for the 2.5 Ring Road construction project in the first quarter of 2026, by the end of 2025, Cau Giay Ward People's Committee has issued a notice on the implementation of land acquisition and site clearance for the 2.5 Ring Road project for relevant organizations, households, and individuals who rent or borrow; rent or borrow land and houses for production and business within the project site boundary.
Accordingly, Cau Giay Ward People's Committee requests organizations, households, and individuals who have received compensation and support money to sign land handover; cases where houses and land are leased or borrowed (for business, boarding houses...) to terminate or stop leasing or lending houses and land; immediately carry out the dismantling, relocation and handover of land for project implementation and site clearance according to regulations.
For organizations, households, and individuals renting and borrowing houses and land located in the project site clearance area, Cau Giay Ward People's Committee requests to stop renting and borrowing houses and land for business and lodging; immediately dismantle and relocate assets that are movable property owned before January 1, 2026.

For the remaining cases, site clearance work is implemented by the government in a public, transparent direction, closely following legal regulations; and at the same time strengthen dialogue and explanation to help people understand the guidelines and policies.
The persistence of "going through every alley, knocking on every door", listening to and thoroughly resolving each petition has contributed to creating positive changes in people's awareness - from concerns and worries to consensus, cooperation in receiving compensation, support and handing over land for the Ring Road 2.5 project.
