According to Lao Dong's records on March 1st, many machines were mobilized to deploy the demolition of a series of works within the Ring Road 2.5 project section from Cau Giay street to Dich Vong New Urban Area (Cau Giay ward, Hanoi).
Looking from above, most of the works within the project area have been demolished, creating a clean ground. The construction unit is actively and urgently demolishing the remaining works.
Recently, many households and individuals have proactively moved assets and belongings to hand over land for the project.
Talking to Lao Dong Newspaper, Ms. Ngoc Linh (student of Thuong Mai University) said that she moved to rent a room at house number 20, alley 201 Cau Giay on January 6.
Two weeks later, she was asked to move because her residence was in the clearance area to implement the Ring Road 2.5 project, Cau Giay - Dich Vong New Urban Area section.
I was very surprised because at the time of renting the house, the landlord did not mention that the house was in the clearance area. Having lived here for not long, I had to find a new place to live, which is very time-consuming and costly" - Ms. Linh said.
Ring Road 2.5 project, Cau Giay - Dich Vong New Urban Area section, is 420m long. The total land area recovered for project implementation is 21,459.7m2, involving 329 households and 9 organizations.
The project was approved in October 2017 and site clearance was implemented from the end of that year, but for many years, the implementation progress was very slow.
Identifying site clearance work as a key task, of decisive significance in changing the urban face, improving infrastructure quality and people's lives, from July 1, 2025, especially when there is Notice No. 117-TB/TU dated December 13, 2025 of the Hanoi Party Committee on the conclusion of Politburo Member, Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee Nguyen Duy Ngoc related to the project, the entire political system at the grassroots level has been mobilized to participate synchronously and drastically.
Site clearance work is carried out in a public and transparent manner, closely following legal regulations, strengthening dialogue and explanation to help people understand policies and guidelines.
It is the persistence of "going through every alley, knocking on every door", listening to and thoroughly resolving recommendations that has contributed to creating positive changes in awareness, from concern and worry to consensus and cooperation.
Up to now, site clearance for project implementation has been basically completed. It is expected that the remaining works will be demolished in the first quarter to deploy the construction of the road.
When the site is handed over synchronously, the Ring Road 2.5 project will move to construction, when completed, it will contribute to completing the traffic network, reducing pressure on existing roads, opening up new development space for the western Hanoi area.
For Cau Giay ward, this is also an important opportunity to embellish the city, improve the quality of life, towards a more civilized, modern, and livable city in the future.
