Dien Bien - People in Thanh Yen border commune participate in voting for the election of National Assembly Deputies of the 16th term and People's Council Deputies at all levels.

On the morning of March 15, along with voters nationwide, in 926 polling stations in Dien Bien province, from the morning, a large number of voters participated in voting for the election of National Assembly Deputies of the 16th term and People's Council Deputies at all levels for the 2026-2031 term.

At Election Team No. 11 (electoral unit No. 4, Thanh Yen commune), Mr. Le Van Luong - Chairman of Dien Bien Provincial People's Committee attended the opening ceremony and directly voted. This is a polling station for 714 voters in A1, Dai Thanh and U Va villages.

At the opening ceremony, delegates and voters were briefed on election regulations as well as voting room regulations.

To ensure transparency, the Election Team checked the main ballot boxes and auxiliary ballot boxes in the presence of voters, and at the same time sealed the ballot boxes in accordance with regulations.

As one of the earliest people to go to polling station No. 11, Ms. Le Thi Thanh (90 years old, A1 village, Thanh Yen commune) said: "I feel very happy and honored to go to the polls to personally cast my democratic vote.

According to Ms. Thanh, although she is old, she still wants to fulfill the responsibilities of a citizen. "I hope that the vote will contribute to selecting virtuous and talented people" - Ms. Le Thi Thanh said.

Sharing the joy of the country festival, Ms. Quang Thi Boc (58 years old, U Va village, Thanh Yen commune) said: "Since reaching the age of voting, I have voted fully every time. This year I see a cheerful atmosphere, flags and flowers are decorated beautifully and much more spacious.

According to the Thanh Yen Commune Election Commission, the commune has 16 polling stations, with a total of 11,251 voters. In the election, 36 people participated in the election to elect 21 delegates of the Thanh Yen Commune People's Council.

Dien Bien province has 3 National Assembly Deputy Election Boards, 11 Provincial People's Council Deputy Election Boards; in 45 communes and wards, full Steering Committees, Election Committees, 263 Commune-level People's Council Deputy Election Boards and 926 Election Teams have been established to ensure compliance with regulations.

The province has 13 candidates for National Assembly deputies; 83 candidates for Provincial People's Council deputies and 1,556 candidates for commune-level People's Council deputies.
