Many provinces and cities have issued policies to give gifts to people receiving pensions and social insurance allowances during the 2026 Binh Ngo Lunar New Year:
Hanoi City
Hanoi People's Committee issued a plan to give Binh Ngo Tet 2026 gifts with a total of 1,165,878 gifts, with a total budget of 574,423,500,000 VND to policy beneficiaries on the occasion of the Binh Ngo Lunar New Year 2026.
According to the plan, the gift giving is aimed at beneficiaries who are enjoying preferential policies for people with meritorious services; people receiving pensions, monthly loss of working capacity allowances, social pension allowances; poor households, near-poor households; social protection beneficiaries; the elderly; workers, civil servants, and laborers in particularly difficult circumstances; female former youth volunteers in difficult circumstances; and at the same time visit and give gifts to typical organizations, individuals and units implementing policies on the occasion of the 2026 Binh Ngo Lunar New Year.
Dong Nai Province
The Resolution of the People's Council of Dong Nai province stipulates cash support of 1,200,000 VND and gifts worth 1,000,000 VND for people receiving regular monthly pensions and social insurance allowances in the area during the Binh Ngo Lunar New Year 2026.
The People's Council of Dong Nai province, term X, 8th session, passed Resolution 26/2025/NQ-HDND stipulating the subjects and levels of support during the 2026 Lunar New Year in Dong Nai province.
Thus, during the Lunar New Year 2026, a support level of 1,200,000 VND/person (or 1,200,000 VND/household) will be implemented for people receiving regular monthly pensions and social insurance allowances.
Specifically, comrades who were former Directors of Departments and equivalents and above who have retired but are not Provincial Party Committee members, Heads of public non-business units directly under the Provincial People's Committee; Chairman of the Member Council, Chairman of the Company, General Director (or Director) of one-member limited liability companies with 100% charter capital held by the State that are parent companies of state-owned economic groups, parent companies of state-owned corporations, parent companies in the group of parent companies - subsidiaries; one-member limited liability companies that are independent companies with 100% charter capital held by the State, representatives of state capital in enterprises with state capital accounting for 50% or more of charter capital holding the position of Chairman of the Member Council (or Chairman of the Board of Directors), General Director (or Director) of state-owned enterprises in the province, Director of the Provincial Development Investment Fund who have retired or resigned due to requests to arrange organizations, apparatus of agencies and units (over 55 years old) are supported with an additional gift equivalent to 1,000,000 VND
Quang Ninh Province
Quang Ninh Provincial People's Council has issued Resolution 83/2025/NQ-HDND stipulating the subjects and levels of gifts for the annual Lunar New Year in Quang Ninh province in the period 2026 - 2030, for some social policy beneficiaries and other beneficiaries.
Accordingly, the highest gift level is 2 million VND.
Other localities related to Tet support policies include 4 provinces: Dak Lak, Gia Lai, Khanh Hoa, Lam Dong.
These are 4 provinces where Vietnam Social Security implements a combined payment of 3 months of pension and social insurance allowance (December 2025, January and February 2026) in the December 2025 payment period to support pension and allowance beneficiaries to have more resources to cope with difficulties, rebuild their lives after storms and floods and prepare for essential spending during Tet.
